Nelson has built a notable career at Satisloh, rising from his initial role as a Service Engineer to his current position as Sales Manager for Satisloh Latam.
A Steady Career Progression
Nelson’s career at Satisloh began with hands-on technical work as a Service Engineer. His first major project was the installation of a Vision Optical lab in Colombia. From there, he took on more responsibilities, leading the ART project in Latin America and managing the company’s Hotline service. In 2022, he transitioned into the role of Sales Manager, overseeing sales across the region.
Nelson’s early days at the company were filled with learning and preparation, including training trips to Germany. His first week, he recalls, was spent getting acquainted with his new role and gearing up for the challenges ahead.
Challenges and Support
One of the biggest challenges Nelson has faced in his career is spending extended periods away from home. However, with the support of his family, he has learned to balance his personal and professional life. Nelson explains that his family plays a key role in helping him manage the demands of frequent travel, and they make the most of the time they have together.
In one particular instance, a booking error at a hotel left him returning to find all his belongings packed into black bags at the reception. Initially surprised, Nelson found humor in the situation and learned to adapt to unexpected challenges that come with the job.
